Friday Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not forgetting, forgiveness is not allowing anyone hurt you, your loved ones, forgiveness is not saying it was ok, forgiveness is not rationalizing why something happened. Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. Forgiveness brings you into the moment of what you felt or feel when an incident happened, you may felt hurt, unworthy, unsafe, not good enough, rejected, angry. Forgiveness is you acknowledging these feelings and telling yourself you are okay; so you no longer hold the pain, resentment and hurt that they did to you. It does not forgive them or give them absolution or redemption from what they did.
